Jann Arden

Musicography: Jann Arden

It’s never easy to write about an artist who was quite unknown for you. I had heard about Jann Arden and about her songs. It’s simply that I never really paid attention to her career, to concentrate on my “sarahmclachlanmania“.

I also admit it, I had wrong ideas about her. I heard “Insensitive” in 1994 and at that time, I was 12 years old. You know, a young girl of that age is not necessarily interested by that kind of music. I found the Backstreet Boys too great to care about, hum, what’s her name again? You said “Jann Arden”? I think you understand what I mean.

I just kept in mind that she was a “singer for my mother”, even if today, I listen to songs from artists older than her. Anyway, I gave her a second chance by presenting her to you. An article on Calls-To-Nothing introduced her in 2005 and those who are familiar with the website will be able to know more about her recent releases and activities.
