A lovely email arrived on my desktop few months ago, send by a lovely and sweet person, unfortunately it was dropped out in the junk-email category and while I was about to cleaning my files, it get my attention 
So, sorry dear Yael, (I know you are reading us), for taking all this time to discover your sweet music.
Yael Meyer was born in Santiago de Chile, always singing made up tunes, she began playing piano at age 5, songwriting at 8 and playing guitar at 13. At 19, after receiving a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music, she left Chile and settled in Boston where she wrote, produced and recorded her debut album ”Common Ground”, a blend of indie folk and lounge electronica hailed as “one of the top 50 albums of the year” by Rolling Stone Chile. She currently resides in Los Angeles, where she produced and recorded her latest EP, HEARTBEAT, a soulful and blissfully pack of 5 beautiful songs, perfect blend of folk/pop and electronic tunes.
Listening to Yael Meyer’s sweet and innocence voice makes me remind my favorite Israeli artists like Rosi Golan and Sara Lov. Yael’s music is like a breath of fresh air, soft, relaxing, you can feel her smile and the sunshine in her engaging melodies. You can even hear the birds sing on “Favorite Two“. Well, if I tell you that this EP was produced by Bill Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson, Laura Jansen) and includes guest appearances by Danny Levine on trumpet (Lenka), Fil Krohnengold on acoustic guitar and accordion (Meiko) and Joseph Karnes on bass (Jesca Hoop)… an incredible casting, that makes you purchase this EP just after reading this post, for sure
