If your are familiar with our previous website (calls-to-nothing.com) you may know Kristy Thirsk, Vancouver based artist who started out as a singer for the band Rose Chronicles in the 1990s and later became well known for her vocal work with Delerium and with the famous Canadian label Nettwerk. Recently, Thirsk has been venturing into solo territory with the release of her EP Under Cover, featuring three original tracks and a cover of Prince’s “When Doves Cry.” The EP features plenty of atmospheric and ethereal soundscapes, an effective combination that Thirsk’s fans all pop music fans can enjoy and if you like Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, Nelly Furtado, Delerium, Sleepthief, The Sundays, The Cocteau Twins, The Cure, Jeff Buckely, Joni Mitchell …you’ll probably like Kristy Thirsk.
